Projekt Akademi MittSkandia – Learning Centre Development is a joint project for Akademi Norr, Akademi Helgeland and OK Sør Helgeland. The project is a further development of an earlier Interreg project ”Akademi MittSkandia”, which has laid the foundation for regional cross border cooperation.
Th purpose is to develop a network of learning centres in the MittSkandia region, which in cooperationactively contribute to competence development for the private and public sectors through increased activities, aimed directly at trade & industry and improved cooperation with providers of education.

Aims

Trade & industry as well as individuals in the region should have a locally available and adapted selection of education on academic level.

The learning centre is the cooperation partner and develops system and implementation methods so that trade & industry, public administration and the inhabiatants also get the same offers to study - practically and financially - as campus students..
Activity areas

A focus on the "motor function" of learning centres, i.e. an active, strategic role for the development of the private and public sectors.

Development of learning centres by means of internal education and competence development (guidanc, adult pedagogy, competence surveying, project management, conflict and negotiations management).

Improvement of the terms for the financing of and study qualifications for education.
