The main purpose of Akademi Norr is to take the initiative in, develop and implement higher education in its member municipalities. During the 2000 - 2006 period three major framework programmes with this purpose were carried out. Apart from these three programmes other projects, aimed at developing the region and creating growth, have also been going on.
